ABOUT ACCEPTING CATS OR KITTENS:
Please do not bring cats or kittens to PETCO without making prior arrangements with a rescue volunteer. We are not a shelter or nor do we operate a facility. All of our rescues are fostered in the individual homes of our rescue volunteers. Please also visit this website for a list of other possible resources. New fosters are always welcome, particularly during the many months of "kitten season". Please inquire with a volunteer for details.
OUR MISSION:
Happy Strays Rescue was formed to make a difference to the cats and kittens who need us most-- the homeless and tossed aside cats in our neighborhoods. All donations received go directly towards the cats and kittens in our care waiting for adoption, with a special emphasis on spay/neuter and medical expenses. We dream of the day when there will be no more homeless pets in the Los Angeles area.

LOCAL SPAY/NEUTER RESOURCES
Reducing pet overpopulation is an important goal for Happy Strays Rescue. Too many pets and not enough homes results in the euthanasia of adoptable pets. The Humane Society of the United States estimates that 4-5 million pets are euthanized in our nation's shelters every year mainly due to overcrowding. Approximately 70% of these euthanized animals are cats. This tragedy could be eliminated if all pets were sterilized.
